**UPDATE 15/10/2020**

We will be extending our opening hours for 2 weeks from Monday 19th October. We will be open Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings on top of our current opening hours. Booking highly advised. These opening hours will then be reviewed after this period.

We are now taking reservations for 2 people, although these are very limited. We advise booking early to avoid disappointment.

We are getting asked frequently to split groups larger than 6 people over two tables. The fines imposed (£10,000) and the law means that this is not possible. We kindly ask that this request is not made.

**UPDATE 23/09/2020**

After the announcement by Boris Johnson last night we will now be closing our doors at 10pm every evening. Last orders will be at 9:30pm.

Every customer must now where a mask upon entry and every time they are away from their table.

We have altered food opening hours slightly from our original opening information. Food will now be served from 5pm on Thursday and Friday evenings. Friday lunchtime and weekends have remained the same.

**UPDATE 07/09/2020**

We are delighted to announce that The Packhorse is opening its doors again from Friday 11th September. This will be for drinks only, no food service.

We will then be opening Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th for food.

Making the Pack Covid safe for staff and customers has been a priority. We have been hit hard compared to other places due to the intimate nature of the Packhorse. This has meant we are limited to just 5 tables inside and no standing room (including in the bar). Once these tables inside are taken then that means we are full. We do have a beer garden and 2 benches out front (with cover) but obviously these will be weather dependent.

We will also be operating a strict one way system and "track and trace" in line with NHS and government guidelines.

Bookings for food highly advised, we cannot guarantee a table without a reservation. We can’t unfortunately take bookings for 2 people. The few tables we have range from 3-8 people and for that reason we have to fill them to their maximum potential to be a viable business.

Please also note we will not be selling sandwiches or running our tapas and bar snacks menu for the time being.

We are very aware that this doesn’t suit the drinkers particularly. We want people here drinking but hope you realise the need to sell tables for food. We will be opening weekdays from 4pm to give drinkers a couple of hours before food service. After 6pm we will book the tables for food and anyone drinking will need to vacate to the garden or benches out front. Tables will likely come free after 9:30 once food service has finished. Tables at the weekend are likely to be booked out for food all day. Again, tables are likely to come free after food service. We will not be taking reservations for drinks only. Without doing this there will be no Packhorse to drink in post Covid and we do ask for your patience during this time.

With all that out of the way, we cannot wait to welcome all our customers new and old back. We have missed you and we hope you like the refurb. We certainly think it looks amazing. And don’t worry, we haven’t “gone and made it all modern”.
